Coronavirus: current rules and restrictions

On 28 January the Minister of Health decided to prolong applied restrictions till 14 February.

The current list of restrictions:

  • covering your mouth and nose in all public places (also on the street),
    • It does not apply in parks, botanical and historic gardens, allotment gardens, in the woods/forest, on the beach and when travelling by a private car.
  • on public transport vehicles 50% of the seats must be vacant.
  • restaurants, bars, clubs etc. remain closed (meals only to take away or delivery) – including restaurants and food zones in the shopping malls.
  • shops are open in compliance with the sanitary regime (1 person/10 m2 in shops up to 100 m2 and 1 person/15 m2 in shops above 100 m2).
  • Hours for seniors (from Monday to Friday from 10:00 to 12:00) do NOT apply anymore!
  • Meetings – only up to 5 persons. Weddings, communions and parties are forbidden.
  • Hotels will not be available for tourists.
  • Ski slopes will be closed. Sports infrastructure will be available only for professional athletes.
  • Gyms, swimming pools, fitness clubs and aquaparks remain closed.
  • Max 1 person/15 m2 in religious worship places.
  • Cinemas and theatres remain closed.
  • Museums and art galleries are open in compliance with the sanitary regime.

Please remember, that people coming to Poland by collective organised transport are obliged to undergo 10-day quarantine. 

The obligation does not apply if:

  • you have been vaccinated,
  • you have a negative covid-19 test result (PCR or antigen) – it is valid for 48 hours from the time the result is issued,
    • The results must be in Polish or English.
  • you are a student at a Polish university*.

All the above restrictions are valid until 14 February. Next update is expected in less than two weeks.

 

* Students, starting their mobility in the 2nd semester, acquire „student status” from 17 February in accordance with the Academic Calendar.
