Project Erasmus+ Strategic Partnership „Realising the potential of the international mobility of staff in higher education” (REALISE) received the “Good Practice Example” Label from the French Erasmus+ National Agency. The University of Warsaw participated in the project works as a partner university, the activities were coordinated by the International Relations Office.
REALISE project results include: Survey Questionnaire, Comparative Analysis, Mapping Tool, Top management interviews, Training Module (Staff Mobility in the Spotlight), Handbook of Good Practices, Conclusions of the Policy Dialogue. More details and project results are available here.

Master and post-Master students and researchers in all disciplines, who are citizens of the Visegrad countries V4 (Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Slovak Republic) can apply for a scholarship to study at any accredited university/institute within V4 and in countries of the Eastern Partnership or the Western Balkans.

The Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange has launched a call for „Digital Ambassador of Poland”. The programme aims at promoting Poland, academic cities and Polish universities abroad. If you would like to show your excellent experience with Polish people, culture, and language, please visit the NAWA website, take part in the competition and become a Digital Ambassador of Poland!

On November 18th 2019 the University of Warsaw hosted a delegation from Tamkang University, Taiwan. The purpose of the visit was to discuss further bilateral cooperational (lasting since 2001) and to renew agreements of academic cooperation and student exchange. Tamkang University was represented by President Huan-Chao Keh, Vice-president, deans and representatives of administration, while the University of Warsaw was represented by Rector Marcin Pałys, Vice-Rector Jolanta Choińska-Mika, representatives of UW departments and International Relations Office.
On 25 November 2019 the University of Warsaw hosted a delegation of professors from Sun Yat-Sen University (China). The meeting concerned possibilities of cooperation in such fields as biology, chemistry, environmental studies, computer science, linguistics.

On 26th September, approximately 750 short-term students from abroad gathered in the Auditorium Maximum building to get the most important information on their stay at the University of Warsaw.
The event was organised by the International Relations Office of UW for those exchange students who will stay at UW for one or two semesters. They were participants of Erasmus+ programme, bilateral and governmental agreements as well as the Fulbright programme.
How to register for courses? How does the USOSweb work? How to get an electronic student card? These and more questions were answered during the information meeting. Students also had an opportunity to find out how to use libraries, sign up for the Polish language course and where to get psychological support if they face some difficulties.
Members of the Erasmus Student Networkl presented its offer. There is still a possibility to get a mentor, a Polish student who would accompany an international student in their stay in Poland. More information
