Who can apply:
- 3 one-semester spots – students of 1stcycle and long-cycle master’s degree (after completing the 1st year of studies)
- 1 one-semester spot – students of 2ndcycle (after completing the 1st semester)
Eligible units/fields of study: addressed to all faculties (list of courses unavailable for international exchange students you can find on the website: https://carleton.ca/isso/incoming-student-exchange-program/courses-not-available/)
Financial conditions:
- Tuition fee will be waived by the host institution;
- Costs of visa, tickets, insurance, handbooks, costs of living and accommodation are covered by a student https://admissions.carleton.ca/scholarships/usa-and-international-costs/;
- Students are obliged to purchase University Health Insurance Plan (UHIP);
Required documents:
- Consent Form, signed by Head of the Educational Unit (EUH) or Mobility Coordinator;
- Certificate of grade average from the entire period of study, issued by the Student’s Office at the unit – at least 3,49;
- Motivation letter justifying the choice of the receiving institution;
- Curriculum Vitae including information on academic achievements, distinctions, awards etc.;
- Certificate/proof of the English language skills https://carleton.ca/isso/incoming-student-exchange-program/#eligibility. The test report must be in English and the test date cannot be more than 24 months prior to application).
- undergraduate: TOEFL iBT 86; IELTS 6.5; CAEL 70
- graduate: TOEFL iBT 100; IELTS 8; CAEL 70; PTE 60
Remarks:
- The receiving institution shall reserve the right to review the exchange enrolment request and make the final decision according the receiving institution’s internal regulations and the legal regulations imposed by the national and/or local authorities.
- Students accepted by the receiving institution shall obtain approval for the study programme from the Mobility Coordinator at their home unit at UW. Learning Agreement shall be signed by the student and both institutions within 3 weeks from the beginning of the exchange.
- Candidates may, at any time, be asked to show original documents providing achievements and received awards.
- Students take care of the visa on their own in accordance with the procedures of the host country.
- Before departure, students accepted by the receiving institution are obliged to conclude an agreement with the University of Warsaw (at the International Relations Office).
- Student nominated by UW is obligated to submit, by 15.04.2025, completed application according the requirements listed on the Carleton University website: https://carleton.ca/isso/incoming-student-exchange-program/ (approximate deadline for the documents submission -> September – October 2024). List of the documents required by the host institution:
- Incoming Exchange Application form;
- Official proof of English Proficiency (TOEFL, IELTS, or CAEL, PTE Academic). The test report must be in English and the test date cannot be more than 24 months prior to application;
- Most recent official transcript translated into English;
- A list of 10 Carleton courses (https://calendar.carleton.ca/undergrad/courses/, https://calendar.carleton.ca/grad/courses/, list of courses unavailable for international exchange students you can find on the website: https://carleton.ca/isso/incoming-student-exchange-program/courses-not-available/)
- Portfolio (for students applying for courses in Architecture, Industrial Design and Interactive Media Design);
- An audition for students applying for performance courses in Music.
