The CENTRAL Leadership Program offers an immersive journey through the region. In this unique initiative, up to 30 students and doctoral candidates will explore Budapest, Vienna, Prague, Berlin and Warsaw. Participants gain invaluable insights into the diverse realms of economy, politics, diplomacy, society, and public service, fostering the skills and vision needed to drive the advancement of the Central European region, promote peace, and strengthen the European project.
Specialized workshops provide deep insights into the region’s political and cultural dynamics and refine leadership skills. A preparatory online meeting ensures participants are ready for this transformative experience.
The CENTRAL leadership program seeks advanced graduate students or doctoral candidates with a minimum B2 level of English proficiency and a basic interest in Central European politics, history, and culture. This program is designed to equip participants for leadership roles in various fields such as society, economics, politics, or public service across Europe. Participation offers individuals a pathway to more effectively plan their career trajectories.

EIB Summer School 2025 ( European Investment Bank)
Exploring the EU Climate Bank
June 23 –27, 2025 online
June 28 –July 5, 2025 in Luxembourg
The EIB Summer School invites a group of 80 Master’s students to join an online and onsite programme delivering first-hand information about
the activities of the EU Climate Bank and its role in the implementation of the European Green Deal.
The academic programme includes online sessions, plenary lectures and technical seminars with four tracks focussing on either the financial, political, technical or developmental aspects of EIB activities.
The pedagogic approach focusses on interaction, discussion, and engagement with the faculty and each other.

The selection process for participation to the EIB Summer School is primarily managed by the partner university ( University of Warsaw )

Fees
There are no attendance fees for the Summer School. Board and accommodation of the entire official program are covered by the EIB.
Participants are expected to cover their travel expenses as well as costs for non-official social activities.

The participants shall have a substantial understanding of the functioning of European institutions and a basic understanding of banking and finance as well as show interest in climate & sustainability, innovation, project & infrastructure implementation, and development.

CENTRAL Joint workshops

Aim
CENTRAL-Workshops are networking projects for groups of researcher of the CENTRAL universities in order to initiate new collaboration (incl. innovative teaching/training for young researchers) or to consolidate existing collaboration.
Supported activities
CENTRAL-Workshop projects will fund one or two, 2-3 day meetings at one of the involved CENTRAL partner universities (or two, if two meetings will be held).
Execution period: 01/09/2025 – 31/08/2026
Funding
- In 2025 up to 8 projects may be funded.
- Costs for travelling and accommodation: will be covered by the sending institutions.
- Costs for catering, rental costs for of seminar room: will be covered by hosting institution.
- Funding regulations of each institution shall apply.
Project Team
Each project team shall comprise groups of researchers of at least three CENTRAL universities. Each group of researchers preferentially consists of 2-4 researchers of one CENTRAL university (inter/multi-disciplinary groups are possible) and has to include at least one established researcher (Post-Doc with at least 5 years of research experience), who will also act as group leader of its university, and at least one PhD-student.

Applications have to be submitted before deadline via e-mail to central-network@cuni.cz using the application form
Applications submitted after deadline will not be considered for evaluation.
Who can apply?
Applicants can be any established researcher (at least 5 years of postdoctoral research experience) of any academic discipline, employed at any university of the CENTRAL network.

PROGRAMME ULAM NAWA 2025 – CALL FOR APPLICATIONS
12 lutego 2025The call for applications under the Stanisław Ulam Programme will be conducted from February 10th to May 12th, 2025, until 15:00, according to the official time in Poland.

The document „The invitation from the Host institution in the fellowship programmes” (attachment to the Announcement), which is an attachment to the application submitted by the candidate by the NAWA electronic system, must be signed by the legal representative of the University of Warsaw – Vice-Rector Sambor Grucza.
Therefore, the completed document, bearing the signature of the internship supervisor at UW and the dean/vice-dean, should be submitted to the International Relations Office (IRO). Please attach the draft application prepared by the candidate or, if the application is not ready, the candidate’s academic CV and project description.
These documents should be sent electronically to swietlana.dachno@adm.uw.edu.pl at least 5 working days before the planned submission of the application to NAWA.
The document „Information on the commitments of the host institution” signed by the Rector will then be sent back to you by email.
