Who can apply: independent academic teachers
Eligible units/fields of study: all units
Financial conditions:
- Funding of up to USD 600 for costs of living and up to USD 1,500 for costs of accommodation (max USD 2100) for 30 days of stay. A scholarship for a period shorter than 30 days will be calculated pro-rata according to the length of stay.
- Other costs, including visa, travel, study materials, accident insurance and other costs of living shall be covered by the Candidate.
Required documents:
- Consent form signed by the head of the organizational unit or the mobility coordinator;
- Letter of motivation justifying the choice of the host institution (including the selected IU unit) and indicating the proposed dates of stay;
- CV including extraordinary scientific achievements;
- Research plan at IU, indicating the compatibility of the research area and existing cooperation/established contact with partners at IU, including the names of research staff with whom the Candidate would like to cooperate;
- Invitation or confirmation of the willingness to accept the Candidate by IU (letter or email).
Remarks:
- The host institution shall reserve the right to make the final decision on the Candidate’s admission is made by the host university according to the host institution’s internal regulations and the national/local legal regulations
- The Candidate takes care of the visa on their own in accordance with the procedures of the host country.
Application deadline: Sunday 27.04.2025, until 23:59 pm Warsaw time zone. Incomplete or late applications will not be considered.
Application (one e-mail containing all required documents; subject: USA – Indiana University Bloomington – academic year 2025/2026, independent academic teachers) shall be sent to the email address bwz.nabory.wymiana@uw.edu.pl from the Candidate’s university email address (according to §3 of the Ordinance no. 279 of the Rector of the University of Warsaw, dated 10th December 2020). Applications sent from other email addresses will not be considered.
