Financial conditions:

  • Students are exempt from tuition fees at the host university.
  • Visa, travel, insurance, study materials, subsistence and accommodation costs are paid by the student.
  • Students are required to purchase Chinese health insurance.

Required documents:

  1. Consent Form, signed by Head of the Educational Unit (EUH) or Mobility Coordinator;
  2. Certificate of grade average from the entire period of study, issued by the Student’s Office at the unit (minimum 4,5);
  3. Motivation letter justifying the choice of the receiving institution and indicating the chosen unit at the host university;
  4. Curriculum Vitae including information on academic achievements, distinctions, awards etc.
  5. Certificate/proof of the language skills: English – at least B2, for Chinese-taught undergraduate/graduate courses: Chinese HSK 6 (with each item over 70 points) or equivalent level.

Remarks:

  • * PKU does not accept exchange students who are Chinese citizens. Students in the graduate year at home university are not recommended to apply by PKU.
  • ** Not available for exchange students: Health Science Center, School of Software and Microelectronics, Faculty with special pre-requisites, Tailor-made programs, Double-degree courses, Shenzhen Graduate School (case-by-case discussion is needed), English-taught graduate courses of special Master programs (MBA, Master in International Relations, Master in Public Policy, LLM in Chinese Law, Yenching Academy, etc.), Chinese-taught Master-level courses are only available with the faculty’s permit, Courses opened by PKU Education department.
  • The receiving institution shall reserve the right to review the exchange enrolment request and make the final decision according the receiving institution’s internal regulations and the legal regulations imposed by the national and/or local authorities.
  • Students take care of the visa on their own in accordance with the procedures of the host country.
  • Students accepted by the receiving institution shall obtain approval for the study programme from the Mobility Coordinator at their home unit at UW. Learning Agreement shall be signed by the student and both institutions within 3 weeks from the beginning of the exchange.
  • Candidates may, at any time, be asked to show original documents providing achievements and received awards.
  • By 30.03.2025, the nominated student should submit the documents required by the foreign university: 1) in PKU’s application system, 2) the hardcopies to the IRO UW.

  • Before departure, students accepted by the receiving institution are obliged to conclude an agreement with the University of Warsaw (at the International Relations Office).

Application deadline19 February 2025, until 23:59 Warsaw time zone. Incomplete or late applications will not be considered.

Application (one e-mail containing all required documents shall be sent to the email address bwz.nabory.wymiana@uw.edu.pl from the candidate’s university email address (§3 Order of the Rector of UW no. 279 from 10th December 2020). Applications sent from other email addresses will not be considered.
