Solidarity with Ukraine – 4EU+ for Ukraine II / Workshop „AI: Where Are We and Where Are We Going – Responsible Use” 03.12.2024

                  

 

At the beginning of December, representatives of student unions of Ivan Franko National University of Lviv, V. N. Karazin National University of Kharkiv and Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv came to Warsaw to participate in a student conference, organised within the project „Solidarity with Ukraine – 4EU+ for Ukraine II”, funded by the National Agency for Academic Exchange of the Republic of Poland. The Ukrainian students were joined by the representatives of the student unions of 4EU+ members – Sorbonne University, Heidelberg University, Charles University, University of Copenhagen and University of Milan. The Student Union of the University of Warsaw hosted the event.

On the second day of the conference, December 3rd, stduents participated in a four-hour workshop „AI: Where Are We and Where Are We Going – Responsible Use„, given by Max Salamonowicz.

 

Description of the workshop:

„Explore the current state of AI, its potential futures, and the importance of ethical and responsible implementation. This 4-hour workshop will dive into key advancements, challenges, and strategies for aligning AI development with societal values and long-term benefits. Students will be able to see and use the state-of-the-art AI systems and understand their possibilities and shortcomings”.

Expected learning outcomes:

  • knowledge of some state-of-the-art AI systems
  • awareness of some ethical aspects and responsible use of AI
  • better understanding of possibilities and shortcomings of AI

Instructor:  Max Salamonowicz – CTO StoryWeaver, AI & Robotics Engineer, Entrepreneur, over 20 years of experience in neural networks, Red Teamer, model builder.
