The European Investment Bank Summer School Exploring the EU Climate Bank, Luxembourg

Period of stay and length of stay:
- 24th – 28th June – mandatory online activities
- 29th June – 7th July – EIB course + alumni weekend
Number of scholarships: 3 (UW preselects 6 candidates and EIB selects 3 persons)
Who can apply: Master’s degree students (second-cycle) & Law (4th and 5th year).
Eligible units/fields of study: programmes related with the following fields:
- economics
- finance
- management/business
- political science and related fields
- climate and sustainable development
- urban development
- development studies
- law*
- engineering*
* with experience or interest in business application
The participants shall have a substantial understanding of the functioning of European institutions and a basic understanding of banking and finance as well as show interest in sustainability, climate change and the environment.
Financial conditions:
- Students are exempt from attendance fees;
- Costs of stay – accommodation and meals are covered by EIB;
- Based on the Rector’s decision, the cost of travel on the route Warsaw-Luxembourg-Warsaw is covered by UW – the means of transport and travel details to be agreed with IRO after the final selection by EIB

- Visa (if applicable) and insurance costs are covered by the participant;
Required documents:
- Consent to the participation in summer school, signed by Head of the Educational Unit (EUH) or Mobility Coordinator;
- Certificate of grade average from the entire period of study, issued by the Student’s Office at the unit – at least 4,0 (in Polish or English)
- Motivation letter in English justifying the participation in the EIB summer School
- Curriculum Vitae in English with a list of achievements, distinctions, awards, information on extracurricular and social activities
- Proof of the English language skills – a language certificate or a document issued by the UW Centre for Foreign Language Teaching or by the lecturer conducting the language class – at least B2
- Under 32 years of age until the end of the summer school
Remarks:
- Candidates may be requested at any time to show original documents confirming their achievements, distinctions and awards.
- Students are responsible for arranging the visa on their own – if applicable.
- Summer school is for students – UW student status is required throughout the summer school period. The rule also applies to final-year students.

Application deadline: Tuesday 2 April 2024, extended until Monday 8 April 2024, until 23:59 / 11:59 pm Warsaw time zone. Incomplete or late applications will not be considered.
