Number of scholarships and length of stay: 2 full-year scholarships or 4 one-semester scholarships (subject to the number of applications)
Who can apply: undergraduate and unified master’s students (completed first year of studies required)
Period of stay: winter semester or full academic year 2025/2026

Financial conditions:

  • Students are exempt from tuition fees at the host university.
  • Visa, travel, insurance, study materials, subsistence and accommodation costs are paid by the student.

Required documents:

  1. Consent Form, signed by Head of the Educational Unit (EUH) or Mobility Coordinator;
  2. Certificate of grade average from the entire period of study, issued by the Student’s Office at the unit (minimum 4,0);
  3. Motivation letter justifying the choice of the receiving institution;
  4. Curriculum Vitae including information on academic achievements, distinctions, awards etc.
  5. Certificate/proof of the language skills: English – at least B2
  6. Transcript of academic records in English; the document must include information on the grading scale in the student’s home university and the grade point average obtained;
  7. A statement of the programme and year of study to which the applicant is applying (in English);
  8. Course Selection Form;
  9. CV (in English);
  10. Personal Statement (in English);
  11. Recommendation letter.

  1. 1 Colored 1.5 Inch White Background Photo;
  2. Copy of Passport;
  3. Latest Academic Transcript in English (issued by Home University);
  4. Copy of Medical Insurance which covers the period of stay in Macao (if you would not like to join our University Medical Scheme).

Remarks:

  • * Courses offered by the Department of Chinese, all General Courses (GE), internships and final year project courses are not available to exchange students.
  • The receiving institution shall reserve the right to review the exchange enrolment request and make the final decision according the receiving institution’s internal regulations and the legal regulations imposed by the national and/or local authorities.
  • Students take care of the visa on their own in accordance with the procedures of the host country.
  • Students accepted by the receiving institution shall obtain approval for the study programme from the Mobility Coordinator at their home unit at UW. Learning Agreement shall be signed by the student and both institutions within 3 weeks from the beginning of the exchange.
  • Candidates may, at any time, be asked to show original documents providing achievements and received awards.
  • The documents required by the foreign university should be submitted by the nominated student by 20.03.2025 through the application system of the host university.
  • Additional information will be sent to nominated students.
  • Before departure, students accepted by the receiving institution are obliged to conclude an agreement with the University of Warsaw (at the International Relations Office).

Application deadline18 February 2025, until 23:59 Warsaw time zone. Incomplete or late applications will not be considered.

Application (one e-mail containing all required documents shall be sent to the email address bwz.nabory.wymiana@uw.edu.pl from the candidate’s university email address (§3 Order of the Rector of UW no. 279 from 10th December 2020). Applications sent from other email addresses will not be considered.
