Period of stay and length of stay: winter semester 2025/2026 (August 25th – December 12th, 2025) or summer semester (January 5th – April 24th, 2026)
Number of scholarships: 2 one-semester spots (these can be used in the Winter semester 2025 or Summer semester 2026)
Who can apply: Students of 1st cycle (after completing the 1st year of studies)
Eligible units/fields of study: All faculties in line with available courses offered by WSU Ogden Main Campus https://weber.edu/catalog (Davis Campus courses are limited, but not necessarily restricted. Programs only taught at the Davis Campus include MBA, Architecture, Automotive Technology, Construction Management, & Interior Design. All programs and their courses within the Dumke College of Health Professions are restricted).

Financial conditions:

  • Tuition fee will be waived by the host institution;
  • Costs of visa, tickets, insurance, handbooks, costs of living and accommodation are covered by a student. Estimated cost of living for a month is $900-$1300.
  • The host university helps in finding accommodation however, allocation on the campus is not guaranteed (examples of available options: Wildcat Village or University Village Community Guide (weber.edu)
  • A student who qualifies for the trip is required to purchase insurance: Health Insurance Information

Required documents:

  1. Consent Form, signed by Head of the Educational Unit (EUH) or Mobility Coordinator;
  2. Certificate of grade average from the entire period of study, issued by the Student’s Office at the unit – at least 3,49;
  3. Motivation letter justifying the choice of the receiving institution;
  4. Curriculum Vitae including information on academic achievements, distinctions, awards etc.
  5. Certificate of language proficiency in accordance with the university requirements: TOEFL: 61 min Internet-Based, 500 min paper-based. IELTS: 6.0 min Overall, 5.0 min each section. Duolingo: 105 min
  6. Declaration of financial resources in accordance with the requirements of the partner university (minimum USD 6,684 for a 1-semester stay, USD 13,368 for a full-year stay).

Remarks:

  • The receiving institution shall reserve the right to review the exchange enrolment request and make the final decision according the receiving institution’s internal regulations and the legal regulations imposed by the national and/or local authorities.
  • Students accepted by the receiving institution shall obtain approval for the study programme from the Mobility Coordinator at their home unit at UW. Learning Agreement shall be signed by the student and both institutions within 3 weeks from the beginning of the exchange.
  • Candidates may, at any time, be asked to show original documents providing achievements and received awards.
  • Students take care of the visa on their own in accordance with the procedures of the host country.
  • Before departure, students accepted by the receiving institution are obliged to conclude an agreement with the University of Warsaw (at the International Relations Office).
  • Nominated students are required to provide the host university with the following documents (according to the information on the WSU website):
  1. Completed Application Form;
  2. Copy of the identification page of your passport;
  3. Bank statement and bank letter. If the bank does not issue a certificate in English, please attach a certified translation. If the amount is expressed in PLN, please attach a printout of the exchange rate table from the date of issue of the certificate – from the bank’s website (minimum USD 6684 for a 1-semester stay, USD 13368 for a year-long stay);
  4. Financial guarantee form;
  5. Official transcripts.
  6. Proof of health insurance.
  7. Proof of English proficiency.

Application deadline:  Monday 3rd March 2025, until 12:00 pm Warsaw time zone. Incomplete or late applications will not be considered.

Application (one e-mail containing all required documents; subject: ‘USA – Weber State University – winter/summer semester 2025/2026’) shall be sent to the email address bwz.nabory.wymiana@uw.edu.pl from the candidate’s university email address (§3 Order of the Rector of UW no. 279 from 10th December 2020). Applications sent from other email addresses will not be considered.
