Solidarity with Ukraine – 4EU+ for Ukraine / Offer for Students / Free Online 4EU+ Courses

We are pleased to offer you a new opportunity within 4EU+ for Ukraine Project financed by Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA) – Free Online 4EU+ Courses:

 

Who can take the courses?

Every member of the university community. Participants have to register on the platform: https://www.coursera.org/

 

What do we offer?

Reimburse the cost of the certificate that the participant can obtain after completing the course and passing the test.

Obtaining a certificate is not mandatory. Members of the community of partner universities can take a course and gain new knowledge on a specific topic without obtaining a certificate. However, if they are interested in earning a career certificate, we can refund its cost for 10 participants from each Partner University.

The cost of the certificate is 49 USD.

 

What are the conditions for joining the offer?

Every member of the university community who want to obtain a certificate and get a refund for it is asked to register via the link, which will be available on August 7 on the 4EU+ for Ukraine website.

 

Qualification procedure

The order of applications decides.

Priority will be given to student applications.

Participants will be able to get refund the cost of the certificate.

 

How can you get a refund?

Participant must complete the course, pass the test, pay for the certificate and send us a confirmation of payment along with a copy of the certificate.

Each course is self-paced and lasts about 3 weeks.

Solidarity with Ukraine – 4EU+ for Ukraine / Offer for Students / 4EU+ Tomorrow’s Research and Science Innovation in student start-ups

We are pleased to announce next initiative within the project 4EU+ for Ukraine financed  by the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange –  4EU+ Tomorrow’s Research and Science Innovation in student start-ups – the two-day seminar with workshops in Geneva, October 9-10, 2023.

During the event, students will have the opportunity to:

  • learn how to develop an original start-up idea,
  • connect with an international community and engage with a diverse community of students, entrepreneurs, and innovators from the 4EU+ Alliance universities,
  • build connections, exchange ideas, and foster collaborations,
  • explore innovation hubs and accelerators and learn how they support start-up ideas within different universities,
  • hear from successful start-ups and get inspired by the stories, journeys and experiences of their founders.

 

1 student from each partner university will be selected and nominated.

 

Requirements for students:

  • level of study in the academic year 2023/2024 – master;
  • knowledge of the English language enabling active participation in classes – min. B2;
  • experience in developing new ideas and innovative solutions;
  • good academic performance;
  • interest in developing start-ups.

 

Required documents:

  1. scan of the student ID card;
  2. scan of a document confirming the average grade from the previous academic year;
  3. a certificate confirming the knowledge of the English language – min. B2 (attached Language Proficiency Form will be sufficient);
  4. CV in English, with a list of achievements, distinctions, awards, information on extracurricular and social activities;
  5. motivation statement in English, justifying participation in the workshop.

 

Selected candidates will undergo a telephone/online interview. The selection committee may ask candidates to provide additional documents.

 

Within the 4EU+ for Ukraine project participants will be provided with transport (bus/airline tickets) and accommodation with breakfast in Warsaw and Geneva. Approximate travel dates October, 7-8 – trip to Geneva, October, 10-11 – travel back to Ukraine (via Warsaw).

RIS4Ukraine – internship program for Ukrainian students

We invite you to take part in a new internship project RIS4Ukraine financed by EIT Food and the European Commission. The program is aimed at Ukrainian graduate students, graduates, doctoral students and post-doctors as well as young employees up to 35 years of age who are looking for employment opportunities in the agri-food sector. As part of the program, we offer the opportunity to participate in a 3-6-month paid internship with our partner companies in the European Union.

Special Scholarship Programme of the National Science Center for Students and Scientists from Ukraine who do not have a doctoral degree

The International Relations Office announces a call of applications for the Special Scholarship Programme of the National Science Center for Students and Scientists from Ukraine who do not have a doctoral degree.

 

The programme is financed by the Fund for Bilateral Relations within the framework of the Basic Research Programme, the operator of which in the 3rd set of Norwegian and EEA funds for 2014-2021 is the National Science Center.

 

The aim of the programme is to provide financial support to students / scientists by giving them the possibility of continuing their studies, conducting work on their master’s thesis or doctoral dissertation, or carrying out any other form of education in Polish scientific institutions.

 

Requirements for candidates

A student/researcher applying for participation in the programme must meet the following requirements:

  • does not have a doctoral degree or an equivalent qualification (candidate of sciences system in the Ukrainian) at the end of the call for applications

and

  • left Ukraine on February 24 (or later) as a result of the war or intends to leave Ukraine;

and:

  • was/is a student/doctoral student at a Ukrainian institution of higher education in the 2021/2022 academic year, or
  • was / is employed in a scientific unit in Ukraine.

Note: the citizenship of the student / researcher is not taken into account during the verification process.

A person granted the scholarship cannot be a beneficiary of other programs financed by the NCN.

 

Possible duration of the scholarship: from 6 to 12 months.

Deadline for submitting applications: August 22, 2022. Deadline extended until September 11th, 2022

The scholarship implementation period may not start later than March 1, 2023. It is allowed to implement the programme remotely from the territory of Ukraine, for a period not longer than half of the proposed implementation period.

 

Financial conditions

Accepted candidates will be exempt from tuition fees and receive a scholarship in the amount from PLN 3,500 to 5,000 zloty per month.

 

Required documents

Units of the University of Warsaw interested in hosting a student/scientist should provide the following documents:

1) Completed NCN application form ( in English) signed by the Head of the Unit

2) A copy of a document confirming the fact that the candidate crossed the Polish border no earlier than February 24, 2022 or, in the case of persons staying in Ukraine, the candidate’s declaration that, after being enrolled to the programme, at least half of the programme implementation period will be carried out on the territory of Poland (in English)

3) Application for permission to participate in the programme, filled out and signed by the head of the host unit and the academic supervisor

4) Student’s / researcher’s CV (in English)

5) CV of the research supervisor (in English)

6) Integration/reintegration plan, existing cooperation and description of benefits – prepared by the receiving unit (limit – 1 page)

7) Explanation – if the part of the programme  will be implemented remotely.

The NCN announce results by September 26, 2022. Information about the allocation of funding will be sent to the beneficiary in writing as soon as possible.

Бюро міжнародної співпраці оголошує конкурс заявок на Спеціальну стипендіальну програму Національного центру науки для українських студентів і науковців, які не мають ступеня доктора

 

Програма фінансується Фондом двосторонніх відносин у рамках Програми базових досліджень, оператором якої в 3-ому наборі Норвезьких фондів та фондів ЄЕЗ на 2014-2021 рр. є Національний центр науки.

Метою програми є фінансова підтримка студентів/науковців шляхом надання їм можливості продовжувати навчання, вести роботу над магістерською чи докторською дисертацією чи здійснювати будь-яку іншу форму навчання в польських наукових установах.

 

Вимоги до кандидатів

Студент/науковців, який подає заявку до участі у програмі, повинен відповідати наступним вимогам:

  • не має докторського ступеня або еквівалентної кваліфікації (кандидата наук в українській системі) на момент закінчення набору заявок

і

  • не раніше, ніж 24 лютого залишив Україну внаслідок війни або має намір залишити Україну;

а також:

  • був/є студентом/докторантом українського закладу вищої освіти у 2021/2022 навчальному році, або
  • був/працює в науковому підрозділі в Україні.

Примітка: громадянство студента/науковця не враховується під час перевірки ввідповідності вимогам участі у програмі.

Особа, яка отримує стипендію, не може бути бенефіціаром інших програм, які фінансуються NCN.

 

Можливий період реалізації стипендії: від 6 до 12 місяців.

Остаточний термін подачі заявок: 22 серпня 2022 р.

Реалізація стипендії не може розпочатися пізніше 1 березня 2023 р. Дозволяється реалізація програми дистанційно з території України протягом періоду, не довшого, ніж половина терміну запланованої реалізації програми.

 

Фінансові умови

Зараховані кандидати будуть звільнені від оплати за навчання та отримають стипендію у розмірі 3,5 тис. злотих. до 5 тис. злотих злотих щомісяця.

 

Необхідні документи
Підрозділи Варшавського університету, зацікавлені прийомом стипендіата, повинні надіслати наступні документи:

1)  Заповнений бланк заявки NCN (англійською мовою), підписаний керівником підрозділу/факультету Варшавського університету.

2) Копія документа, що підтверджує факт перетину кандидатом польського кордону не раніше 24 лютого 2022 року або, у випадку осіб, які перебувають в Україні, декларація кандидата про те, що, у випадку його зарахування до програми, принаймні половина періоду реалізації програми буде здійснюватися на території Польщі

3) Заява про надання згоди на участь у Програмі, заповнена та підписана керівником приймаючого підрозділу та науковим керівником

4) Резюме студента / наукового співробітника (англійською мовою)

5) Резюме наукового керівника (англійською мовою)

6) План інтеграції/ реінтеграції, існуюча співпраця та опис переваг – підготовлений приймаючим підрозділом – ліміт 1 сторінка (англійською мовою)

7) Якщо частина програми буде реалізовуватися дистанційно – обґрунтування (англійською мовою).

Продовжено до 11 вересня 2022 року.

 

Рішення про призначення стипендії приймає NCN. Рішення буде прийняте до 26 вересня 2022 р. Інформація про призначення фінансування надсилатиметься стипендіатам у письмовій формі у найближчий можливий період.

“Solidarity with Ukraine” programme – additional recruitment

The International Relations Office is opening an additional call for applications in the “Solidarity with Ukraine” programme. The course lasts from 1st August to 30th September.
The National Agency for Academic Exchange granted 350,000 zł to the University of Warsaw for this project.

The programme is addressed to doctoral candidates planning to work on a doctoral dissertation.
